Welcome to PhosphoGRID

PhosphoGRID is an online database of experimentally verified in vivo protein phosphorylation sites in the model eukaryotic organism Saccharomyces cerevisisae. The database includes results from both high throughput (HTP) MS proteomics studies in addition to phosphosites identified in low throughput (LTP) studies of individual proteins or protein complexes. The identity of specific protein kinases and phosphatases shown to regulate appearance of phosphorylations are recorded, where available, as are the function(s) of the phosphorylation, and conditions under which the modification was demonstrated to occur. The PhosphoGRID curators would appreciate comments on omissions and errors, as well as notifications of newly published or submitted data.

Gene Info - An Open Source Chrome Extension for Easy Gene Annotation Retrieval

Gene Info is an open source extension for the Chrome web browser that allows automated retrieval of gene annotation information for any gene name, synonym or supported accession number on an open web page within Chrome. Searching or double-clicking on text terms retrieves gene function annotation, GO terms, external database links, and interaction data drawn from BioGRID and IntAct. Retrieved gene names are automatically hyperlinked for rapid recursive searches.

GeneInfo is fully open source, available online at GitHub and is downloadable here. Tutorial videos and a step-by-step guide is available online. GeneInfo was developed by James Knight in the Gingras Lab at the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute in Toronto, Canada.

BioGRID ORCS Version 1.0.2 Released

The BioGRID ORCS curated set of data have been updated to include CRISPR screens from a total of 43 different publications. These additions bring our total number of curated CRISPR screens to 561 encompassing 58,000+ genes, 431 different cell lines, and 113 different cell types across 3 different model organisms species (Human, Mouse, and Fruit Fly).

Comprehensive Update to Arabidopsis Dataset from BAR Database includes 13,000+ New Interactions

BioGRID update 3.5.167 includes a comprehensive update to our Arabidopsis thaliana dataset in partnership with The Bio-Analytic Resource for Plant Biology (BAR). This update incorporates an additional 13,000+ new interactions and helped to validate thousands of existing BioGRID interactions as well. Moreover, this increases the total number of Arabidopsis thaliana interactions deposited in BioGRID to 56,005 from 2,300+ publications. These interactions and all associated meta data are available immediately online via all standard BioGRID searches and supported download formats. You can also find these and many additional plant biology resources available at bar.utoronto.ca.

Comprehensive Update to Fruit Fly Dataset from FlyBase includes 8,000+ New Interactions

BioGRID update 3.5.167 includes a comprehensive update to our Drosophila melanogaster (Fruit Fly) dataset in ongoing partnership with FlyBase.org. This update verifies and validates more than 68,000 existing interactions and incorporates an additional 8,000+ new interactions across more than 6,100 total publications. This update also increases the total number of Drosophila melanogaster interactions deposited in BioGRID to 76,657. These interactions and all associated meta data are available immediately online via all standard BioGRID searches and supported download formats. You can also find them available at FlyBase.org in all search result pages.
